2 Corinthians 7
2 Corinthians 7:10
For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death.
Do you know grief can be either be godly or worldly? This is a very important distinction. Godly grief will produce life change. Some people call it conviction. It helps you move in the right direction. Worldly grief, however, stymies any sense of direction. Some people call this condemnation. A generalized sense of guilt. One form of grief is godly – it moves you closer to God. The other form of grief is worldly – it moves you away from God. You need to be able to tell the difference and be able to welcome the one, while outright rejecting the other.
