Verses 22-23
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Sometimes in our Christian walk, it may seem that the Lord is distant. Life’s circumstances are against us. Troubles are overwhelming. The Lord seems not to hear and answer our prayers. We can’t sense His presence.
 
This must be how Jeremiah felt at times, as the Lord was using him to prophesy His judgment on the nation of Israel for their idol-worship. He was feeling lonely and betrayed, as many people and seemingly God had turned against him.

Every Christian faces these “dry“ times. But God is not deaf. He is not taking a break. He has not forgotten us. As we face these times, we must continue to have hope in Him and remember as Jeremiah did: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
 
He will get us through the tough times!
