Acts 11
Daily Devotional from Acts 11--
Verses 25-26
Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch.
Everybody had grave suspicions when it came to this fellow named Saul. And for good reason. He wreaked havoc upon the church for years. And recent reports of him now claiming to follow Jesus was probably just interpreted as some kind of ploy. Allow him admittance? No way!
Then came Barnabas.
He was the first to trust, the first to believe, and the first to take a chance. He built a bridge, and, as we know, the rest is history.
Thank God for bridge-builders. And, if you have one in your life, try not to write them off. Be open to what they have to say. We just never know what awaits us behind a closed door.
