Revelation 9
Daily Devotional from Revelation 9--
Verse 20
The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk.
Sometimes, we feel as if God’s judgment would help people turn to him. But what we see in scripture is that God’s judgment doesn’t always lead to repentance. In Exodus, it continued to harden Pharaoh’s heart, instead of soften it towards God and the Israelites.
Romans 2:4 states that it is the kindness of God that leads to repentance. And it is our kindness that will lead others to Christ. Ultimately, our God has already won and we will be glorified with him. Our job is to continue testifying to his Kingship, his resurrection, his kindness and his love. Let’s be like Jesus and follow in his footsteps.
