Daily Devotional from Revelation 14--
Verse 12
Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.
In the film “Facing the Giants,” there’s a scene where a high school football coach is trying to motivate the team captain. While blindfolded, he has to plank walk across the field with another student on his back. The entire time, the coach encourages him to keep going, don’t give up, he’s almost there. By the time he finally gives up, he has gone the length of the entire field. It’s a powerful scene.
We are given a similar opportunity to endure. We can’t see the end, we don’t know what God has planned, and sometimes it feels as if we have a heavy load on our back, but we continue to move forward because we have a God who is encouraging us, fighting for us, and providing hope for us.
Jesus already won the battle and we are following him into victory. Endure just a little longer. We are all leading those who are behind us. Don’t give up. Hope is coming.
