Daily Devotional from John 4--
Verse 35b
…Listen to what I’m telling you: Open your eyes and look at the fields, because they are ready for harvest.
Jesus was preparing his disciples for what was coming. John the Baptist had been working to prepare the hearts of the people to recognize Jesus as the messiah. And Jesus just openly admitted his identity to the woman at the well and the people of Samaria first!
The people of Samaria accepted Jesus as the Messiah because of one woman’s testimony. She spread the news because her eyes were opened and a whole region believed.
Harvest time is here. People will be saved by the Messiah.
The same is true NOW. Jesus is asking us as his followers to open our eyes and look at Gresham because people are ready to receive Jesus. You too are a witness to the saving power of Jesus! Never underestimate that.
