Judges 9-10
Daily Devotional from Judges 10--
Verses 13-14
Yet you have forsaken me and served other gods; therefore I will save you no more. Go and cry out to the gods whom you have chosen; let them save you in the time of your distress.
Does God repent? Does God change His mind and go a different way than He feels He should? Thankfully, yes, when it benefits his children.
Many times in the Old Testament the Israelites failed God. And today we let God down too - we fail repeatedly. How does that make God feel?
According to our verses, He gets angry. He wants to tell us off; He wants to give up on us. We deserve punishment. Yet because of His loving nature, He changes His mind. Even though we deserve permanent judgment, God is always willing to take us back under His wing if we repent. What a gracious Father!
