Luke 7
Daily Devotional from Luke 7--
Verses 6-7
And Jesus went with them. When he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to him, “Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof. Therefore I did not presume to come to you. But say the word, and let my servant be healed."
When Jesus walked on earth, many people came to Him in hopes of gaining a miraculous cure. If they could only be noticed by Him, get into His physical presence, or just touch the hem of His garment.
Today that is impossible and unnecessary. As was demonstrated by the centurion’s situation, God is willing to work miracles (not just physical healing) in response to our faith and requests through prayer. The greatest miracle is spiritual rebirth when we believe in Jesus as our Savior and Lord!
