Acts 6
Daily Devotional of Acts 6--
Verses 5-15 (selected)
…they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit…And Stephen, full of grace and power, was doing great wonders and signs among the people. But they could not withstand the wisdom and the Spirit with which he [Stephen] was speaking. And gazing at him, all who sat in the council saw that his face was like the face of an angel.
Another word for Stephen’s appearance could be “radiant”.
The root word in Hebrew for radiant is “nahar,” which indicates cheerfulness; another possible English translation is "beaming." (from bibleref.com)
May we draw so close and so often to our Glorious Lord that others will see in our faces that we have been with Him!
