Leviticus 5
Daily Devotional from Leviticus 5--
Verse 15
If anyone commits a breach of faith and sins unintentionally in any of the holy things of the LORD, he shall bring to the LORD as his compensation, a ram without blemish out of the flock, valued in silver shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, for a guilt offering.
When I was a young girl, I had a lot of anxiety about sinning unintentionally. I used to pray, “God, please forgive me for any sin I’ve committed that I’m unaware of.” I lived in the fear of not confessing sin that I didn’t know about. BUT then I came to truly understand the redemption of Christ.
Now, every time I read the Law, I’m so thankful for our Messiah, Jesus Christ. No sacrifice was perfect. And sin is rampant in every part of our lives, we’ve all sinned unintentionally. But Jesus, the perfect sacrifice, fulfilled the Law once and for all! I’m so glad we live in this time where we are redeemed by our Lord.
So today, be thankful and rejoice! We are free from the power of sin and death!
