Exodus 17

Daily Devotional from Exodus 17—

Verse 7
And he called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the quarreling of the people of Israel, and because they tested the LORD by saying. “Is the LORD among us or not?”

The people of Israel had seen time and time again how God had provided for them, but they still questioned whether He was truly with them. They were having trouble trusting that He would meet their needs. Even though they struggled to trust, God was still faithful.
We can all think of a time where we struggled to trust the Lord, even though we know He is faithful and trustworthy. There’s been times in my own life where I worried about my needs and yet He still came through and provided for me. It has built my faith and reliance on Him, and I still need to go back and remember those times.

Today, if you’re struggling to trust God with something, think back to a time when he provided for you, someone you know, or someone in the Bible. Let your remembrance build your faith! Sometimes we need to be reminded of how good the God we serve is, because He is truly so, so good.
