Verse 18

The book of Isaiah a big book of prophecy written in a very poetic style. It can be confusing at times. But as we go through it, just keep in mind the main story arc Isaiah follows:
- He points out how the nation of Israel has continued to sin against God
- He warns of the coming divine justice (Assyria will destroy Jerusalem and take the Jews captive)
- But God will save a remnant of his people and restore Israel with a new king
- Who will bring Peace on earth!
