Ezekiel 9-10

Daily Devotional from Ezekiel 9—

Verse 4
And the Lord said to him, “Pass through the city, through Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations that are committed in it.”

Those with the mark were spared. Why? Because living in a city surrounded by people who did not follow the God, people who were committed to false gods, or no god at all, broke their hearts. The people who received this mark KNEW who God is, LOVED his word, TRUSTED his plan, and prayed and wept for their city.

The same enemy that worked to draw people away from God in Ezekiel’s time, continues his work today. He has perfected distraction, delusion, and confusion so most of OUR city today does not know God.

Let us have clear eyes to distinguish between good and evil, and let our hearts break for the sin that abounds in our city. Let us be the ones who weep and pray for our city. When Jesus returns at the end of this age, may we be the ones who are marked for salvation! Let’s pray for revival to happen in our cities today!
