Judges 1-2
Daily Devotional from Judges 2--
Verse 15
Whenever they marched out, the hand of the Lord was against them for harm, as the Lord had warned, and as the Lord had sworn to them. And they were in terrible distress.
God warned them, and God keeps His word. Could you imagine if he wasn’t true to His word? Without any accountability for their actions, the Israelites would probably lose faith in God rather quickly. Maybe you’re not seeing this as such a good thing, but consider how beautiful it is that God is true to His word.
In one sense if God warns you not to do something there will be natural consequences. But looking through God’s Word He also promises in Romans 10:9-10 “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
It’s that easy! God is not like man to go back on His Word, so trust Him this day, He will fulfill His Word.
