Ephesians 4
Ephesians 4:15-16
We are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
One body, many different parts. One church, many different people. Do you know we can be one and still be different? That’s the exciting thing about the church. You can be yourself, have your own gifts, and even have your own thoughts. The unity, however, comes from being together. The parts need to connect. They can be different. And, in fact, you want them to be different. So, don’t think you will ever lose your individuality by becoming one with the body of Christ. Being one does not mean being the same.
