2 Thessalonians 1
2 Thessalonians 1:6
God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you.
What a relief! God is keeping track of things which means I don’t have to.
Sometimes when our family plays pinochle it’s nice when someone else manages the points. That way I can just play the game. I don’t need to tally the score; someone else is doing that for me. And in the game of life this verse gives me a similar assurance. God knows how to keep track of the rights and wrongs. When somebody goes set and does me dirt, he has it all in his books. Therefore, I can keep my attention where it needs to be. With God, there’s no need to keep score; we are free to just play the game.
