Hebrews 7

Hebrews 7:25
He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

You may have heard the work of Jesus was finished at the cross. Well, not quite. The work, in one sense, was complete, but, in another, it’s very much ongoing. This verse tells us that Jesus ever lives to make intercession for you and me. When you go to bed at night, he’s praying for you. And when you wake in the morning, he’s still praying. Isn’t that an amazingly wonderful reality? So, although Jesus purchased your salvation at Calvary, he is still protecting it today from heaven. And, according to this verse, that's what he lives for. That’s one devoted savior!
