Exodus 10-12
Daily Devotional from Exodus 12--
Verse 13:
“The blood shall be a sign for you, on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt.”
The angel of death passed over the homes of the Israelites whose doorposts were marked with the blood of the Passover lamb. This was a sign placed on the doorposts to signify they were Jews.
There is a sign that we are to be known by - they will know we are Christians by our love (John 13:35).
Love is a verb - it’s an action word. What acts of love are you blessing the world with, so that Jesus’s name would be glorified, and people would recognize you as a follower of Jesus?
