2 Samuel 15-17
Daily Devotional from 2 Samuel 15--
Verse 21
But Ittai answered the king, “As the Lord lives, and as my lord the king lives, wherever my lord the king shall be, whether for death or for life, there also will your servant be.”
There come times in our lives that we are forced to choose one path or another. The choice we make may impact the rest of our lives - or even eternity. What vocation should I choose when I get out of high school? Where should I move to? Who should I choose as my friends? Who should I choose to be my spouse? Should I choose Jesus as Lord and follow Him?
Ittai chose to follow King David. And we remember Joshua’s choice - “... but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Who or what will you choose to follow and serve as Lord of your life? Some of your choices will have eternal consequences.
