Ezekiel 3-4
Daily Devotional from Ezekiel 3—
Verses 17 and 18
Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me. If I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.
Wow, that's a little heavy. But the same way Ezekiel was charged, we bear responsibility to warn the people around us, at work, in our families etc. that there is a price to pay for sin. Or to tell someone when they are going the wrong way. You are a watchman. Listen to the nudge of the Spirit, be bold and be loving. Sometimes the most loving thing to do is tell someone they are in the wrong.
God desires that all people repent and be saved and he has given us a duty to be partnered with Jesus to shepherd people to know the Good Shepherd! Be on watch today, keep a soft heart and listen for God’s Spirit.
