Daily Devotional from Daniel 3--

Verse 28
Nebuchadnezzar exclaimed, “Praise to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! He sent his angel and rescued his servants who trusted in him. They violated the king’s command and risked their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God."

Jesus was with these guys in the fire and kept them from burning. Isn't it interesting that they weren't saved before the fire? It was IN the fire where God met them.

And it was because they were IN the fire that King Nebuchadnezzar knew that it was truly God who had saved them.

Sometimes, choosing Jesus over other things or people will lead to difficulty and tension. It can seem like the world is on fire. YET, Jesus is with you, keeping the flames from harming you.
Eventually, this will show the world around you that you belong to him and they will see that Jesus is worthy of the praise and honor you have been showing.

If you're in the midst of the flames---Jesus is right there with you. Praise the Lord for that.
