Hosea 13-14

Daily Devotional from Hosea 14--

Verse 1

Return, O Israel, to the LORD your God, for you have stumbled because of your iniquity.

God told Israel if they would repent He would forgive them, protect them, and heal them. Even if we turn away from God—He is always calling us to return.

Growing up, I always thought of God as very stern, and I didn’t fully understand His grace. The thought of repentance seemed scary because I felt I’d just get punished. Yes, there are consequences to our actions, but repentance is something to celebrate and approach with joy! When we repent, our relationship with God and others is restored. And that’s something to be excited about!

If you’ve let something become more important than Jesus in your life, today is the day to repent—to turn around and be restored!
