Malachi
Daily Devotional from Malachi 3--
Verse 10
Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house.
A tithe means a tenth, or 10% of one’s proceeds.
Some may say, “Well, that’s just Old Testament law.” But tithing is a practice that pre-dates the law by 500 years. This goes back to the time of Abraham. It’s a timeless practice that reveals one’s attitude of worship. You can call it an attitude of gratitude. And God loves to bless gratitude.
Plus, and here’s the most important thing, God wants food in his house. How else will people find the church fully functioning? How else will we make an impact on the next generation? How else will we meet the needs of our community? —unless the storehouse has plentiful goods. And your tithe helps us to do just that.
