Daily Devotional from Mark 3--

Verses 34-35

And looking about at those who sat around him, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother.”

Who belongs to your family?

The answer is different for different families. Some are born into a family, some are adopted, and others are given “honorary” membership because of some close association.

Jesus expands the boundaries of His family - beyond His mother and brothers - to include whoever does the will God. He  has given to His Church the honor of special position in relationship with Him and each other. We are children of God; we are part of His family (Rom. 8:14-16).

Church, as Christians, we are  brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ and of each other. Family members deserve special attention. Let’s love and take care of one another!
