1 Corinthians 5

Daily Devotional from 1 Corinthians 5--

Verses 12-13 

For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.”

When it comes to people who don’t know Christ, they have no standards, and they are bound by their sin, so when they are out of line we are to love them back in. We are also to be loving to our brothers and sisters in Christ but we have the responsibility of keeping one another accountable. It isn’t okay to watch our brothers and sisters go completely sideways and say nothing about it. If I’m ever majorly out of step I hope one of you would tell me and hopefully I can do the same for you. God has given us family - let’s take that serious. 

Let’s keep a balance between love and truth because we can’t have one without the other, if love or truth are lacking then they are both lacking.
