Psalm 122
Daily Devotional from Psalm 122—
Verse 1
I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!”
I LOVE hangin’ with my church people! The last church we were members of had two morning gatherings back-to-back, and we went to both! I attended one gathering and served during the other. Why?
Because I find what I need when I gather with my brothers and sisters in Jesus.
When I need healing, I get prayer.
When I need to get my eyes off my troubles, I go worship God.
When I need encouragement, I am surrounded by friends who know me best.
When I need to grow, I get challenged in my faith.
When I don’t feel like I need anything, I go to give love, encouragement, and prayer to someone who does.
Let’s all have this mentality: every Sunday, you have something you need to receive, and you have something you can give, and both those needs are met in the consistent context of a church family. See you Sunday!
