Ephesians 6

Daily Devotional from Ephesians 6--

Verse 12

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

There is always so much more going on beyond what we can see in the physical.

That person who screamed at the grocery clerk in line, the person completely denying faith, those who delight in evil, and our own fight with temptation—it’s all a struggle beyond what we can see. There are the ideas of our society, and demonic spiritual forces that have influence over everyone. That’s why we are told to put on the whole armor of God, so that we can defend ourselves AND others. When someone attacks you (in any sort of way) try to see that there is so much more going on than you can see. Pray for them. If we give in to hate and division, we too are giving in to these unseen things.

Remember today to put on the armor of God!
