Psalm 125
Daily Devotional from Psalm 125—
Verse 1
Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
People today put their trust in many things. Financial portfolios, sports teams, celebrities, friends, family, careers, hard work, good works….this list goes on. But every one of those things has great potential to let you down. Money can’t buy you love or happiness. Sports teams lose. People are human and will hurt us or leave us. Not even a lifetime of good works can assure the eternal peace we long for.
There is only ONE being worth putting our trust in, and that is our Lord God. But we need to be careful not to misplace our faith in the things or people of the Lord. Enjoy fellowship and discipleship relationships with others in his church, invest your money into his kingdom, do good works that display your faith…but reserve your complete and utter TRUST to place in Jesus alone, as he is the only one who will never let you down.
