1 Thessalonians 4
Daily Devotional from 1 Thessalonians 4--
Verses 11-12
...and to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one.
Not all Christians are called to be pastors; not all are called to be global missionaries. In fact, most are not.
Most Christians are to live quiet, normal lives - getting and working a secular job, getting married, raising a family, living life.
And how are we to live life?
Not as the “world” lives it.
We are all called to live life in a manner worthy of our calling as daughters and sons of God. We are called to gather together as a church and live a life pleasing to God - all of this with the goal of impacting our “circle of influence” - leading to a better world, and facilitating the arrival of God’s kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven.
Be light! Be salt!
