Revelation 5

Daily Devotional from Revelation 5--

Verse 5

And I began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”

Jesus has already conquered, all things will work out the way God has planned! And like in this passage all of creation will praise God and we will get to see it because of what Jesus has done for us. I like this passage because Jesus is the only one who can open the scroll, the only one worthy. We would be so lost without Jesus, can you imagine if there was no salvation for us? 

Well the good news is you don’t have to imagine, because Jesus paid your ransom, if you believe and confess Christ as King. Verse 10 says that he has made us a kingdom, priests and that we will reign on earth. This is something clearly stated here, what will that look like and what does that look like now? For now let us not worry and weep because Jesus has conquered! We are in good hands, Amen?
