Genesis 10-12
Daily Devotional from Genesis 12
Verse 4
So Abram went, as the Lord had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Harran. (NIV)
My Great-Grandmother was 90 years old when she became a Christian. She loved Jesus with everything she had during the last year of her life. Before she passed away, she loved reading the Bible and praying, and donating her crocheted blankets to her church--which blessed young mothers in the area.
Have you ever thought that you might be too old (or too young, too unworthy, or too something or other) for God to use? Abraham had already lived 75 years before God called him out of Babylon and into the promised land. He was already an old man who had lived a full life--but God had a calling on his life and was not through with him yet.
God’s not done with you yet. As long as you’re living, you can be used by God. Ask him what he is calling you to and take a leap of faith!
