Genesis 46-48
Daily Devotional from Genesis 46--
Verses 2-4a
And God spoke to Israel in visions of the night and said, “Jacob, Jacob.” And he said, “Here I am.” Then he said, “I am God, the God of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for there I will make you into a great nation. I myself will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also bring you up again…”
Sometimes when we make ourselves available for God’s direction, he will take us into places that are difficult. His direction may scare us a little bit. It may cause trepidation, anxiety, or cause us to feel a little insecure under our feet.
Yet, just like with Jacob, God asks us to trust him because he will be right there with us and promises to lead us back out.
God is steadfast and keeps his promises. Keep your eyes on him. He will lead you through whatever you are walking through.
