Exodus 4-6
Daily Devotional from Exodus 4--
Verse 14
Is there not Aaron, your brother, the Levite? I know that he can speak well.
Moses: Then why didn’t you choose Aaron in the first place? You know this type of work requires eloquence! I can’t persuade an empire to relinquish their labor force by a stammering tongue. What are you thinking, God? You know Aaron is better at this kind of thing.
God: But I haven’t called Aaron to this. I called you. You should know me better by now. I choose what is foolish, I choose what is weak, I choose the things that are not to bring to nothing the things that are, so that no human may boast in the presence of God. If I were only looking for talent, don’t you think I would know where to go? But I don’t go chasing those who know they have it. I prefer to place my call on those who know they don’t.
Will you trust me on this? My power is only made perfect in weakness.
