2 Kings 2-3

Daily Devotional from 2 Kings 3—

Verse 7
And he went and sent word to Jehoshaphat king of Judah: “The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me to battle against Moab?” And he said, “I will go. I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”

Even though Israel and Judah were divided against each other, they were at times able to come together to fight for a common goal.

There is much variety within the Church: different scripture interpretations, different political groups, cultures, etc. BUT God has called us to be unified in Him. If someone confesses Jesus Christ as Lord, they are your brother or sister in Christ and you are called to live in unity with them. Sometimes that’s hard when we have opposing views, but we must remember that we all are a part of the Kingdom of God and in His family “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:28)

Maybe there is another believer in your life that you struggle to agree with, perhaps reach out to them and choose to enjoy the diversity that exists within the Body of Christ. Let’s choose peace and unity over division.
