1 Chronicles 26-28

Daily Devotional from1 Chronicles 28--

Verse 20
Then David said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous and do it. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed, for the LORD God, even my God, is with you. He will not leave you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished.”

God told David he wasn’t going to live his dream of building a temple for Him, but his son would. In Chapter 28, we see David gathering all of those to work on the temple and commissioning Solomon to do the work of building the temple—fearing the LORD all while doing the work.

At the end of your life, what legacy will you leave your family? David left one of loving the LORD with all of his heart, and he passed that on to Solomon. Some of your dreams you may not see completed in your lifetime, but your children may see them.

Remember that every interaction with your family can make an important impact on your loved ones. The legacy you impart on others can last generations after you are gone.
