Verse 9
The Lord is able to give you much more than this.
But Lord, these illegal drugs are worth so much money, and now you’re asking me to flush them down the toilet? But Lord, I’ve already put two years into this degree, and now you’re calling me in a new direction? But Lord, we’ve already given our tithes this month, and now you’re prompting us to give another?
Sometimes the Lord asks us to do costly things. And it’s easy to sit on the fence, trying to reconcile the gains and losses. Or we can just know who we’re dealing with. What’s money to the One who owns it all? What’s value to the One who sets the market? What’s a sacrifice to the One who gives us everything? Put your trust in Him. He’s able to give you much more than this.
