Daily Devotional from Acts 19--
Verses 13-15
Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists undertook to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “I adjure you by the Jesus whom Paul proclaims.” Seven sons of a Jewish high priest named Sceva were doing this. But the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?”
It is not enough just to know ABOUT Jesus. If you want to see the power of God to bless, heal, deliver, and save, you’ve got to have a daily personal relationship with his son. I don’t want to get to the afterlife and have Jesus say, ‘I never knew you, get away from me.’ The number one thing our God desires from us is relationship. Have conversations with him. Study his word. Sing to him. Give to him. Tell others about him. When you are abiding in daily relationship with Jesus, that’s when others will see the power of the living God manifested in your life! How can you invest in that relationship today?
