2 Corinthians 6

Daily Devotional from 2 Corinthians 6--

Verses 16-17
What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, "I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you.”

In these verses, The Living God promises to make His dwelling among us and walk with us. He promises to welcome us. He asks one thing in return, that we allow Him to cleanse us from our sins and help us live to keep our lives clean before Him.

Repentance is easy because there is no rejection in repentance. God doesn’t turn away anyone who comes to Him with a heart that truly desires forgiveness. He not only forgives us, He comes to dwell with us. I believe it is our responsibility to keep our house clean. We do that by living close to Jesus. I wouldn’t want Jesus come and find that my temple is dirty. Would you?
