Revelation 4
Daily Devotional from Revelation 4--
Verses 10b-11
They cast their crowns before the throne, saying, “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
I love the picture Revelation 4 paints for us. This image of heaven is far beyond what our minds can imagine. In verse 10, it says that the 24 elders cast their crowns before the throne and sang praises of adoration for God.
We are called to cast our crowns at the throne of God as well. We lay down our desire to rule because we know that God is the one on the throne—not us. We trust his judgment more than our own because he is the creator.
Are there any crowns in your life that you have yet to yield to God? Pray through it today and let the crown go. You won’t regret it.
