Revelation 19
Daily Devotional from Revelation 19--
Verse 7
Let us rejoice and exult
and give him the glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and his Bride has made herself ready…
The Lamb here is Jesus and his bride is the church. At the end of the age, when Jesus returns, He’ll be coming back for His bride! That’s us! While we wait, it’s our duty and privilege to be continually preparing our wedding garment – pure white linen woven of our daily choices to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God (Micah 6:8) – to strive daily to live righteously, in a way that honors our King.
This is something that must be done in community. We all have faults, flaws, blind spots, temptations, and weaknesses and it’s only being plugged into a loving community and seeking growth and mentoring that helps us grow past these things. If you haven’t been plugged in, if people in the church don’t know you WELL, let that be a resolution for your new year!
